Introduced the strategy of bringing industrial IoT into the Enterprise portfolio through an integration of LoRa technology over satellite. Led the M&A endeavours of the Enterprise division. Focused on driving innovation and improvement within the Solutions Engineering division through new partner relationships, business analytics, and keen leadership. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, I was accountable for developing and acquiring new capabilities and technology solutions and led a team of 3 direct and 20 indirect reports.
In this critical portfolio, I produced presentations and reports to C-Suite Executives on a monthly basis, informing timely and strategic decisions.
Key Achievements included:
Re-structuring the divisional team of 80 staff, ensuring its full alignment with the business goals and new IoT based strategy, which I created
Championing new ways of working, best practice processes, and embedding a test/failure/learn approach, which resulted in a major corporate cultural change Shifting the focus on Innovation and building a heterogeneous team of 20 staff in a flat structure, to revitalise capability
Investing $1m in the M&A of the IoT partner, Actility, bringing the IoT technology in-house, Building strong partnerships with 20+ innovative tech firms utilising new technologies and increasing business agility
Creating and rolling out a Staff Award system, resulting in a significant improvement in staff motivation and productivity levels
Turning the business from double-digit decline to equal growth in 1.5 years, realising turnover of $135m, exceeding targets by 10%
