Graduated in Economics and holding a Master’s degree in Finance from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Porto, I obtained the title of Specialist in Management – Finance, Banking, and Insurance from the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. I am currently completing my doctoral thesis in Business Sciences at UPT, focusing on "Sustainable Finance." I have over 21 years of experience in the banking sector, having held senior management roles in investment and corporate banking within the BPI Group. However, I now have the privilege of working in higher education as a Lecturer at University of Porto, while also serving as the Deputy Coordinator at PEA - Porto Executive Academy and as the Director of the Executive MBA and the Postgraduate Programme in SME Internationalisation Management at PEA. As the author of several books on financing, including "A BANCA E AS PME" (Banking and SMEs), "O FINANCIAMENTO BANCÁRIO DE PME" (Bank Financing for SMEs), "BANCA 4.0", and "BITCOIN E BLOCKCHAIN", I am also a trainer in Corporate Finance and Banking, collaborating with various institutions in Portugal (OCC, IFB - Banking Training Institute, AEP) and Angola (National Bank of Angola and Banco de Fomento Angola). As an independent corporate consultant, I specialise in Financial and Strategic Management, providing tailor-made solutions geared towards the success of my clients. I am an active member of the Order of Economists (Counsellor Economist) and the European Economic Association (EEA). My commitment to excellence, combined with a passion for sustainable financial innovation, defines the foundation of my professional and academic journey. I am driven to continue contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in Finance, Banking, and Management, always with a keen eye on the sustainability issues that shape the future of the financial sector.
