I am an educator who has a passion for science and teaching. I began my career as a Teach For America corps member in Los Angeles, where I taught high school Anatomy and Physiology and AP Biology for three years. During this time, I also earned his teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, one of the top-ranked schools of education in the nation. My most recent teaching experience is as a science and supervising teacher at Assurance Learning Academy, where I strived to inspire my students to love learning and pursue their dreams. I am also involved in various professional development and leadership activities, such as mentoring new teachers, science department chair, CAASPP/CAST Testing coordinator and Beyond SST Chairperson, along with attending workshops and conferences. I believe that every student deserves a quality education, and that science can be a powerful tool for social change.
