ABC Friends IncNational Campaign Coordinator
Apr. 2016 - Sep. 2019Melbourne, AustraliaEmployed on contract as National Campaign Coordinator for ABC Friends, I have been credited with transforming the national organisation into a federation of states, and with encouraging it to enter a "new paradigm." Starting just before the Federal Election was called, I worked on nationalising communications and consultation processes for stakeholders, and ensured social media, website and on-street campaigning infrastructure was built and/or set in place, and managed "on-message."
Our Federal Campaign Launch generated 15 original stories in national publications - both print and online. Fairfax newspapers, to which the story was given as an exclusive on release, is believed to consider 50K hits a good success for a story. Our campaign launch plus video scored more than 200K hits in the first day alone. Stewarding the release of three pre-produced social media videos, and then writing and/or filming, producing or editing 20 spots in total, I pushed social media "likes" from less than 30,000 to more than 40,000 within six months. There was a 30% view-per reach rate on the films, with far more than a million people reached.
I have created three separate campaigns for ABC Friends, contributing to the raising of $170,000 in the past year with an advertising spend of about $5,000.
I currently steward the organisations's online media posts and content production on a retainer basis.
