Jan. 2009 - Oct. 2011Brisbane, Australia- Administer the payment of wages, salaries and travelling expenses, the processing of new starts, transfers, arrangements for relocation of employees furniture and effects on transfer, salary reviews and progressions, processing of Workers Compensation claims and payments and cessations for employees as allocated.
- Consult with Hiring Managers and respond to enquiries regarding the review of employment status of employees on expiring fixed-term contracts.
- Liaise effectively with Queensland Rail Recruitment Centre representatives and Hiring Managers and prepare contract letters of offer of employment in all employment categories for existing and new start employees.
- Prepare and issue orientation kits to candidates who have accepted employment with Queensland Rail.
- Provide informed advice to Managers, Supervisors and employees within the Northern Region on employee entitlements in accordance with Human Resource Standards and Workplace Agreements.
- Maintain accurate records on SAP Payroll System and ensure the integrity of the database.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Procedures in all respects, including the maintenance of accurate records to meet audit
requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous review and improvement to payroll processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties, particularly in relation to checking of payroll anomaly reports and timesheet entry.
