In this role, I managed environmental strategy and stakeholder alignment across multiple agencies and contractors to ensure the safe, compliant, and community-conscious transition of the facility. Key achievements:
Collaborated with nuclear decommissioning specialists and community stakeholders to design an environmental monitoring framework that reduced projected environmental impact by 20%.
Spearheaded the development of a facility management system focused on air quality tracking and long-term energy efficiency.
Led implementation of a contaminant monitoring plan, including meteorological modeling, sensor deployment, and climate resiliency planning.
Delivered a 20-year monitoring and mitigation roadmap within a $500K budget — balancing scientific rigor, operational feasibility, and public transparency.
Acted as liaison across technical, academic, and governmental groups to ensure timely, high-quality execution of all project deliverables. This project deepened my ability to lead interdisciplinary initiatives where science, policy, and community intersect.
