Managed a team of 6 with spend of £47m across the Group. Responsible for procuring all ingredients and packaging across the group, as well as third-party supply chain for Gail's bakeries. Directly managed the procurement of flour (£5,5m) and energy (£5m) for the group. After the team experienced a personnel collapse, I restructured and rehired, introduced performance measurement and personal development plans while coaching existing team members to improve moral. As part of the leadership team, I helped create a sustainability strategy and engaged regenerative farming suppliers for flour improve the provenance in this category. Introduced category management methodologies to shift the team from tactical to strategic procurement. Established new processes suitable for the company's rapid growth and created new commercial contracts with suppliers and vendors. Reviewed systems to support these processes, improving the ERP system and implementing a market intelligence platform. Currently leading outsourcing projects for non-core production lines. Through special projects, the team saved £1.3 million in nine months, reducing a significant budget overspend in commodity ingredients.
