Mar. 2013 - Jan. 2017Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, BrazilAs a doctoral scholarship holder in Agronomy (Fapergrs/Capes), I performed activities related to the research project "Phytochemical, bromatological, and physical characterization of black oat germplasm: subsidies for the selection of materials for forage and straw production." In partnership with Agroalpha, a reference in genetic improvement of Black Oat, White Oat, and Barley, recognized for the quality and innovation of its cultivars, the project aimed to evaluate the degree of existing variability in black oat genotypes regarding their aptitudes: forage purposes and/or soil cover purposes, as criteria for genotype selection. The work involved highly complex analyses, chemical, mineralization, morphological, bromatological, and anatomical methodologies, developed at UPF and USP, under the coordination of Professors Simone Basso, Ph.D., and Romualdo Fukushima.
