Community Relations Coordinator
Operation: Christmas ChildCommunity Relations Coordinator
Oct. 2013 - Jan. 2015Green Bay, Wisconsin AreaAs the community relations coordinator it is my responsibility to build a team of volunteers that will reach out into the community, non-church related businesses and organizations, and work with them to implement a program to inform their customers about this charity, display the information, and collect completed boxes. This community partnership is an integral part of our success in that we are increasing awareness for this initiative through business owners, employees, and customers that may not attend church today, but would still love to be part of this effort. As a professionally certified project manager and business owner in the community I felt called to do this, so I could give back and serve through a faith-based charity that is known all over the world and provides value and comfort to those that need it most. Working with business owners in this way also gave me the opportunity to be creative and innovative with the way we presented this opportunity to customers. One business decided to incorporate the giving of toys and supplies into their sales model, using it as a way to generate more customers and also to get their employees more engaged. The result was more time spent with customers building boxes, sharing their experience and building a stronger customer relationship.
Brand Partner / Business Development
VemmaBrand Partner / Business Development
Jan. 2013 - Mar. 2014Green Bay, Wisconsin AreaAfter selling my technology company, I decided to try something different and challenge myself to learn something new & innovative. I joined this company as a Brand Partner assigned to develop an implementation strategy for the distribution of a new type of healthy energy drink that was produced in Phoenix, AZ, studied and formulated to provide customers with a sustained source of energy throughout the day vs others that caused an immediate high, followed by a quick crash. The strategy I developed involved distributing this drink directly to customers through tanning salons and gyms. I met with business owners, tanning staff, and trainers to train them on the benefits of this product line and how to demo it to customers as they entered the salon or gym. The connection from this drink to the tanning salon and gym patron was easy, they wanted to take care of their bodies and look good, so drinking a healthy energy drink that contributed to the success of their look or diet was a slam dunk. Business owners also were able to utilize an existing customer base to extend and expand their profit, resulting in higher net sales margin. The roll out went into 200 tanning salon store locations in WI, FL, AL, GA, CA, TN, and VA. The roll out of this ended up in only a handful of gyms in the local area. The product sold as expected and generated more profit and increased customer purchases at every location. Several business owner also reported a side benefit; employees were much healthier as a result of drinking it and the number of sick days logged in a 1 year period dropped dramatically. Due to changes in the product distribution model from corporate and government / legal challenges from the FTC, I had to stop the roll out of this product and ultimately close my brand partnership. The legal challenges were levied against the corporation, not brand partners so even though I didn't face any legal troubles, I was still out the product I needed to continue.

Website Application Developer / Project Manager / Business Development
N.E.W. Results, LLCWebsite Application Developer / Project Manager / Business Development
Oct. 2002 - Dec. 2012Full service technology company focusing on contract project management assignments, website design & development, application hosting, email marketing campaigns (Quebert), social networking, e-commerce website development, and search engine optimization (SEO) / marketing. As the business owner and lead designer/innovator, I was able to help 130+ small business owners from WI, IL, PA and TX with various solutions that added business value, helped them sell products, and provide online information to prospective customers. Each project followed the same path; requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. In many cases we also provided website hosting and support for new enhancements. As we grew, I ended up partnering with off-shore and on-shore resources to help with design and development tasks and in some cases, I utilized off-shore staff to help with server maintenance and monitoring services to accommodate a full 24-hours of coverage. Between 2005 and 2012, I took on additional responsibilities outside the company as a contract project manager to expand my skills and take on larger, more complex project implementations. The business continued to run and grow with the help of full time staff. In 2013 I was asked to sell the company by one of the full-time employees, so we worked out a deal that was mutually beneficial.
