Jun. 2005 - Aug. 2008Relocated to Ukraine and tasked with helping build and manage a fast growing business looking after all the activities for the entire CIS region (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Central Asia). Responsible for all financial, planning and investment scoping activities for the entire CIS region, which experienced fast high double digit Y/Y growth. During my tenure, the business grew from $80m to $700m. Which such significant Y/Y growth across a vast territory, my role required a high level understanding of market dynamics coupled with innovative and maverick thinking to support the business, whilst managing, training, developing and motivating a high performance finance team across the CIS region. Drove operational excellence through maintaining a framework within which the Sales Organisation is able to assess its performance against, and compliance with, company/theatre financial policies, targets and goals through automation and standardisation of key internal processes. Providing senior management visibility of deals, common pricing/discounting trends, competitive trends, commercial strategy and non-standard sales requirements whilst driving non-standard solutions closer to Cisco’s standard business model.
