Dec. 2020 - Jun. 2021Co-founded local team to collaborate with refugee community in rebranding Sekolah Islamiyah, an alternative learning centre for refugees and migrants. I lead a team of 10 awesome teammates, with four full-time paid teachers and six, including me, volunteers. a. Strategizing development of Sekolah Islamiyah • Revising vision and relevance strategies towards our education milestones and goals based on needs analysis of community & students.
• Lead impact & milestones measurement through progress analysis of students & community.
• Arrange narrative, build angle and write (main writer) our End Year Report for 2020 ( bit.ly/ sekislamiyah2020 ) and 2021 (bit.lysekislamiyah2021) b. Lead communication and strategic partnership • Build, maintain and explore relationship with potential & current funders, project collaborators and UNHCR. c. Arrange strategies for teachers development • Consult every teacher one-to-one on their lessons every twice a month to assist them improving their classroom practices & approaches
• Build mini courses & training for 2020 online learning • Monitor onboarding and training for new teachers • Design teachers training by identifying teachers' current needs and match with potential instructors. d. Monitor and evaluate projects • Coordinate movement and task delegations between operation team (teachers) and management team (non-teachers, volunteers)
• Monitor and evaluate progress of projects through identified indicators and timeline. e. Maintaining culture of people & organization • Select, recruit and pitch potential volunteer candidates to join our team as we value high-quality volunteers that align with our vision and able to commit. • Encouraging transparent and understanding working culture with frequent engagement to retain their sense of belonging hence commitment. • Arrange workflow and documentations to maintain efficient information storing for future reference.
