Aug. 2013 - Nov. 2016North Sydney, AustraliaThe Ministry of Health’s Whole of Hospital Program (WOHP) is a ministerial priority. In 2013 the program delivered significant improvements to the flow of patients through the public hospital system and thus achieved process efficiencies and vast improvements in the quality of care for the people of NSW. In its next phase, the Program must evolve to a ‘Whole of System’ approach to include demand management strategies and hospital avoidance programs in the community and in hospitals.
The Whole of Hospital Program Manager will lead the Whole of Hospital Program team and oversee all streams of the project including existing WOHP facility support, Mental Health project and expanding scope for whole of system approach. The position will provide expertise in comprehensive project management to ensure the objectives of the program are delivered on time and within budget.
The WOHP Manager is responsible for providing highly specialised analysis of program outcomes, risks and opportunities relating to access to care and patient flow across the acute, primary and community care sectors. The position also seeks to align WOHP outputs with the NSW Health Performance Framework to contribute to the achievement of the performance goals of NSW Health.
The WOHP Manager will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, bringing together the appropriate people and resources to successfully deliver on the project goals. A key role will be to identify and develop strategic relationships and manage stakeholder involvement.
