• Monitoring and reporting on the Government’s commitment to mental health reform including regular review of projects and proposals to ensure agreed initiatives continue to meet government obligations. • Prepare extensive briefings, speech notes, meeting papers and background papers for the NSW Health Executive (Secretary and Deputy Secretary) and Minister for Mental Health, The Hon. Tanya Davies MP (and formerly The Hon. Pru Goward MP).
• Project planning across mental health reform commitments including setting clear expectations and goals for project teams, tracking progress against timelines and milestones, monitoring budgets and consultation and revision as needed.
• Facilitate consultation with key internal and external stakeholders across different projects and initiatives including workforce planning, data and information sharing, public reporting, consumer outcome development, youth homelessness, suicide prevention and adult education.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communication across all Government partners (Department of Premier and Cabinet, Treasury, Department of Education, Justice and the Department of Family and Community Services). Achievements
• Coordination, development and delivery of the NSW Government’s Mental Health Reform Monitoring Report 2017 to the Social Policy Cabinet Committee.
• Managed procurement, evaluation and contract negotiation for two rounds of the Mental Health Innovation Fund (total value $4M).
• Delivered on election commitment to reduce the harms around crystal methamphetamine use in rural and regional NSW by managing a procurement process to enhance local delivery of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services by NGOs in four key locations.
