Jessica comes from a business and marketing background, having grown up in New Zealand and attended the University of Auckland where she completed a conjoint BA/BCom degree majoring in Psychology, Marketing, and International Business. Her experience ranges from IT and Technology to Tourism, Healthcare and Education.
In her most recent role she managed the marketing and operations of Dale Carnegie Australia, telling client stories through communication strategies for the business. It is with this global training company that she found her passion for learning and development. She now focuses on client workshop facilitation, as she completes a Master in Teaching.
As a certified facilitator she has worked with organisations locally and internationally, including Amazon, Best & Less, Caterpillar and PwC training their teams with professional development programs in leadership, communications and presentation skills.
In her spare time, she loves the outdoors - spending time at the beach or hiking the bush with her husband and two daughters.More...

I have a dual-PhD in Biomedical Sciences (clinical research), which assessed the changes in vascular reactivity that occur in the healthy state and throughout the development of obesity and/or insulin resistance, through to the worst states of metabolic health (e.g., diabetes with complications such as foot-wounds). Yielding eight journal publications and two book chapters, my PhD program was marked by a 12-month Visiting Postgraduate Research Scholarship at Harvard University and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, USA).
Following my PhD, I completed postdoctoral research programs within the Departments of Medicine at the University of Melbourne (Australia) and Uppsala Université (Sweden). Each program provided on-the-job training in epidemiology, focussed on the seasonality of cardiovascular disease, drug-safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, and comparative effectiveness studies of pharmaceutical treatments. More recently, I completed a two-year Marie-Skłodowska Curie Research Fellowship, awarded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme, at the Université Grenoble Alpes (France).
Since 2021, I’ve gained experience in a pure Medical Writing role for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. This real-world evidence research has characterised contemporary patients with chronic kidney disease, heart failure, or type 2 diabetes, and their utilisation of traditional and novel guideline-directed medical therapies.More...
