Feb. 2012 - May. 2014Re-engineered one of South Africa's leading and largest Enterprise Development Programmes for an alcohol beverage company. The project took over a year to complete, and I provided solution design capability. The solutions I designed focused on SME and startup development support, programme governance, candidate selection criteria, marketing & communications strategy, and strategic process improvement. The next project involved the negotiating and restructuring of an ED programme, post assessing the feasibility for the most appropriate ED programme for that organisation. I developed the terms in which the respective programme would become an Enterprise Development programme in terms of the BBBEE codes and stakeholder needs. This initiative took approximately two months and is on-going on an ad-hoc basis. I was one of three team members who compiled one of South Africa's first Enterprise Development Best Practice Benchmarking Studies'. I was responsible for interviewing each of the participants of the study, transcribing, documenting, theming and coding, analysing and writing the final benchmarking report. The report looked at South Africa's key players in the ED landscape and their contribution to the financial and non-financial support of SMMEs. It took approximately 5 months to complete the report using an academic master’s thesis approach. Recently, I was involved in the development of the ED strategy of a leading FMCG. The primary focus of the ED strategy was on driving core business benefits and achieving compliance objectives by providing ED solutions that centred around the development of the organisation's supplier and distributor linkages. This required strategy formulation, hypothesis testing, research, implementation planning and client workshops. I played an integral role in each phase of the project.
