For over a decade, Amina has been at the forefront of designing and implementing innovative corporate venturing solutions for major companies in South Africa. Working with giants such as Nedbank, Guardrisk, Rand Merchant Investments, Proctor & Gamble, AB InBev, Old Mutual, Sasol, and Barloworld, she has focused on creating solutions in various industries that deliver both commercial success and socio-economic benefits. During her time at AlphaCode, Amina spearheaded the development of the highly acclaimed AlphaCode Incubate Programme. Collaborating with over 70 startup founders, she contributed to transforming their tech ideas into thriving ventures. Known as a ‘Chief Problem Solver,’ Amina brought together more than 60 stakeholders, including corporate partners, startups, learning experts, industry specialists, investors, and accelerators. Through this collaboration, she provided tech startups invaluable mentorship, context-relevant frameworks, and best practices to facilitate their growth. Simultaneously, Amina assisted corporates in achieving their business objectives through effective corporate venturing solutions. Since founding Solve4x in December 2022, Amina has continued her impressive track record. Collaborating with esteemed organisations such as The World Bank, the CSIR, and the Swiss Embassy, she successfully delivered a Fintech Challenge across Southern Africa. Additionally, Amina serves as an Entrepreneur In Residence for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation and is an execution partner of WomHub, mentoring numerous entrepreneurs. She is also an integral part of the team responsible for implementing Anglo American's Impact Finance Network Programme, which facilitates access to finance for businesses with significant job creation potential.
