Sep. 20145057 Woodward Ave Detroit, MIThe Wayne State University Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since August 1, 1960 and is currently accredited through 2018. Known for a strong scientist-practitioner program, WSU educates and trains highly skilled psychologists who competently provide a broad range of professional services, contribute to the scientific development of the field by conducting research, and disseminate knowledge effectively by teaching and training others. Graduates of the Clinical Psychology program routinely take positions of leadership and innovation in dealing with clinical problems within the context of the individual, the family, and the community. The urban setting of WSU offers clinical training and research opportunities in a large number of different clinical settings, providing students with exposure to a wide variety of health problems across a broad spectrum of socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural populations. Amy Graham is currently in her second year of this program. Upon completion of the program, Amy will have a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is focusing her training in the subfield of health psychology and maternal substance abuse.
