As a flight test engineer, was able to participate and lead all levels of evaluation. For cockpit and cabin lighting tests, this included taking objective luminance measurements and working with operators to assess day/night readability and Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatibility, both on the ground and in flight.
• Assessed crew workload by creating a mission scenario and facilitating, throughout multiple flights, the collection of Bedford Workload ratings across all mission tasks.
• Conducted emergency egress evaluations with multiple crews.
• Managed the delivery of contract deliverables ensuring compliance with Pilot Vehicle Interface, Lighting, Emergency Egress, and Crew Station Geometry Requirements. Continuingly, worked independently with other IPTs to solve technical and design issues.
• Functioned as a technical lead for two engineers. Work closely with software development teams for capabilities upgrades and mission planning. Key Accomplishments:
• Executed ground and flight tests that were the culmination of many years of design work, on schedule and under budget.
• Earned the “Encore Award” for dedication to the program and playing an instrumental role in the completion of all test events.
• Recognized as an expert in the design and integration of NVIS compatible aircraft lighting systems.
