Jan. 2011 - Dec. 2013- Accepting senior responsibility for ensuring that risk management and auditing processes are carried out successfully. - Developing and implementing of auditing strategies - Compiling and reviewing of company and consolidated annual financial statements and ensuring they are in compliance to SA GAAP/IFRS standards. - Providing client of expert recommendations regarding tax, risk and financial management processes. - Application of independent judgement while interpreting complex financial information that could have significant impact on services. - Mentoring, managing, training and developing of trainee accountant teams and ensuring satisfactory performance as well as their gaining of required experience, including - o Quality control and resolving and responding to queries. o Establishing priorities, coordinating activities and resolving issues. o Initiating actions that result in promoting teamwork. o Reviewing of trainees and identifying areas of development. - Progress reporting to manager. - Reviewing audit results, creating final reports and defending findings. - Interpreting and applying of regulatory laws pertaining to audits. - Adapting easily to new environments during auditing procedures on client premises including assessment of existing systems and procedures and advising on problem areas and improvements as well as dealing with cultural and intellectual diversity. - Working extended hours to meet budget and time deadlines. - Continued firming of client relations and promoting of company services through implementing ability to communicate at all levels. - Drafting of letters to management, summarizing audit findings, weaknesses in controls and making recommendations to improve. - Identifying of opportunities to gain experience and knowledge, attending training and remaining informed on industry developments.
