Sep. 2016Waterloo, OntarioMy technical expertise and professional experience encompass aquatic and terrestrial ecotoxicology, ecological and human health risk assessment, environmental assessment, environmental impact statements, phytoremediation and scientific writing and communication for clients in diverse sectors including oil and gas, mining, agrochemicals, and renewable energy. My experience extends to both federal and provincial contaminated sites. My professional career has focused on understanding the client’s objectives for the project and working towards practical and scientifically defensible solutions. I have contributed to site-specific risk assessments submitted in support of the filing of Record of Site Condition (RSC) under Ontario Regulation 153/04 as well as risk assessments for brownfield redevelopment. Additionally, I've been involved in the re-registration of pesticides, as well as in public engagement, community outreach and risk/scientific communication. My experience with phytoremediation technologies includes the design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of in situ phytoremediation technologies at various sites throughout Canada, contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls and salt.
