• Prepared and won bids for new business from Australia, Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe, utilizing CRM software to assess scope, define objectives and key results, and keep all stakeholders appraised of status updates.
• Lead a global customer’s international logistics shift from primarily air cargo based to sea vessel utilization, successfully converting a business unit from 80% air cargo and 20% ocean cargo to 25% air and 75% ocean, creating thousands in cost savings per shipment. • Drove both business retention and development though bi-weekly customer meetings to better grasp the challenges facing their supply chains and looping in subject matter experts within Expeditors to provide feedback, ideas, and offer services.
• Oversaw all pricing, invoicing, and receivables for Expeditors and its largest global customer, a major player in the areas of internet access, cloud computing, data center operation, server production, and artificial intelligence.
• Automated Expeditors’ rate updating process and created invoicing tools for seamless transactional billing, supporting a 55% increase in invoices cycle time to being paid within two weeks instead of four, and removing the need for human review.
• Presented bi-weekly as a subject matter expert to a group of cross-functional stakeholders including internal leadership, customer finance contacts, and freight payment center to highlight areas where support was needed to decrease exceptions and increase payment authorization.
• Cross collaborated with customer’s software development team to ensure Expeditors pricing data would flow seamlessly into the in-house Transportation Management System the customer was building.
