• Enabled change by developing HR policies, processes and products to facilitate the merger of HR back office functions across 2 police services creating and embedding a new centralised function
• Forged effective relationships with service users, colleagues, unions and staff associations to determine what ‘great’ would look like for everyone
• Drove EDI agenda ensuring organisational compliance with Equality Act 2010 and meeting obligations under Public Sector Equality Duty. Achieving published objectives and identifying measures to improve minority representation and took this one step further to create a more inclusive culture. Managed organisational relationships with internal networks and external advisory panels for gender, disability, LGBT and BAME. • Delivered our Talent Acquisition strategy recruiting up to 1000 police officers and civilian staff per annum • Marketed job opportunities through authoring branded literature and press releases, giving radio interviews, creating social media and website content, partnering third party advertising agency and hosting recruitment events • Developed talent through initiatives to support organisational strategy creating talent pools and panels, succession planning approach, mentoring scheme, coaching culture, secondment opportunities and job rotations
• Led and developed team of 2 HR Business Partners, 3 Team Leads and an administration support function
