Sep. 2015 - Aug. 2019Greater Seattle Area☛ Expedia Group: World's Leading Online Travel Agency (OTA) with over 20 brands present in more than 60 countries, including Expedia, Hotels.com, HomeAway, Vrbo, Orbitz, Egencia, Hotwire, Travelocity, CruiseShipCenters & Trivago. ☚ ● Managed localization project scope, time, quality, and budget in 50+ languages, with both customer and travel agent-facing content (UI, UA, chatbot, marketing, DTP, audio, video, legal, HR, training & IVR). ● Maintained close relationships with global stakeholders: engineering, content, product management, UX, design, marketing, legal, PR, HR, finance, training, and geography teams. ● Launched machine translation post-editing (MTPE), after running successful pilots and evaluation phases. ● Implemented a JIRA Service Desk intake system to triage, track and prioritize incoming localization requests. ● Created and maintained localization documentation with a Confluence and Salesforce knowledge base. ● Forecasted, monitored, and reported KPI metrics on translation volumes, quality, speed, and cost during status meetings. ● Managed and resolved daily linguistic queries with internal linguists and external language resources located
worldwide. ● Adviced stakeholders on I18n guidelines, best practices for content globalization, global content performance, as well as cultural and geopolitical concerns. ● Worked closely with language resources, content managers, writers, web developers, and QA teams to uncover pain points, mitigate risks, and implemented process improvements thanks to lean methodologies. ● Collaborated tightly with resources (internal and external) on establishing and managing language assets: TM, glossaries, and style guides. ● Elaborated QA and QC strategies to ensure product quality with UATs, site audits, and scoring methods. ● Worked with an agile software development framework (Scrum) to localize UI projects and interact with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams.
