Feb. 2021 - Mar. 2024Atlanta Metropolitan AreaAs a Principal Consultant, I worked directly with enterprise stakeholders, product owners. I collaborated cross-functionally with other internal teams and subject matter experts to learn about their business and customer needs for BJC Healthcare and Genuine Parts Company. I conducted customer research, laid out journey maps, defined usability and functional requirements, designed user interfaces or UI and design systems, and contributed to project planning and process improvements throughout Sprints in an Agile environment.

Director Digital Transformation Strategy
AppirioDirector Digital Transformation Strategy
Apr. 2017 - Oct. 2018Greater Atlanta AreaAt Appirio, I offered enterprise digital transformation to organizations by overhauling the worker experience to increase customer satisfaction. I provided employees with simple and intuitive consumer-grade products that enabled them to be better informed, connected in real-time, and confident in their day-to-day customer engagement. As a player/coach, I oversaw 6-10-person teams of principal architects, business analysts, researchers, designers, developers, and change management practitioners. Together, we defined and prioritized organizational initiatives and provided business roadmaps to reach MVP and long-term goals, allowing clients to realize their vision in a compact timeframe. The plan offered companies a way to fulfill their goals and objectives across marketing, customer experience, finance, cost centers, and operations. On the Salesforce platform, I crafted experiences, or “Art of the Possible” solutions, tailored to my clients’ unique needs and aspirations, including Miller Heiman Group, Western Union, 7-Eleven, and University of Melbourne. Appirio was acquired by Wipro in 2017.

Director of User Experience
NorthridgeDirector of User Experience
Mar. 2007 - Oct. 2014Roswell, GABefore joining Northridge, I partnered with them for infrastructure services as part of a proposal I was working on for a large manufacturing company. We collaborated and pitched the work together. A few months later, Northridge’s CEO and Co-founder asked me to join his 50-person company and right-hand leadership team to establish a new business model around User Experience Design, including its service offering, team development, and operations. Successful early on, our UX team became the frontrunner for engagements rather than support services and propelled Northridge into a fully integrated, end-to-end services provider. It skyrocketed us into new markets as far as the West Coast and across borders into Canada and spiked growth in Retail, Manufacturing, and Consumer Packaged Goods & Services, a rather significant feat for a small firm of less than 100 people. I supported the design team in every way possible. I defined, pitched, and won exciting work. I managed a P&L for the first time, balancing lofty ambitions and recognized risks. I served as point person for my clients and player/coach for my engagement teams. I consulted with C-level executives, senior vice presidents, department heads, and other business stakeholders and had the hard conversations necessary to prove the business value of design in advocating for users. For the design team, I leveraged design principles to establish best practices, conduct webinars, drive process improvements, and layer in new disciplines, like corporate identity and branding, search engine marketing and optimization, user research, progressive front-end UI development, content strategy, copywriting, script writing, and video production. We received industry acknowledgment and accolades for our mid-market and enterprise client work, like BJ’s Wholesale Club, Coca-Cola, The Democratic National Committee, Electrolux, Georgia-Pacific, Lowe’s, Time Warner Cable, and Victoria’s Secret.
Director Experience Design
Perficient (acquired Northridge)Director Experience Design
Mar. 2007 - Oct. 2014Greater Atlanta AreaIn June 2012, Perficient acquired Northridge. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, we became part of Perficient’s Microsoft Business Unit. Shortly after, I learned about their internal Experience Design Agency, Perficient XD. I had to advocate for our design team to split from the Microsoft BU and be folded into XD which took some persuasion between BUs. I knew there would be more opportunity for my designers to be in a creative, peer-to-peer Business Unit rather than a technical one like the Microsoft BU we found ourselves in. I put plans into motion to provide an environment where my team could learn from and be better supported by dozens of designers, researchers, front-end developers, architects, strategists, and managers, and have a career track suited for their professional goals and aspirations. Within XD, they could thrive. And as a larger unit, we could be the best versions of ourselves, grow more revenue, and client value across all technology stacks, like IBM, Oracle, Adobe, Salesforce, and Microsoft that existed within Perficient. Once integrated, I became the XD Director for the East Coast because they did not have a Director in that region, and I already had a foothold and familiarity with that market. After successfully integrating our 21-person design team into Perficient XD’s 80+ personnel, we had an internal agency of 100+ multi-disciplined designers within a 4,000-person IT and SI organization. I led multidisciplinary team teams (across Agency & IT) as Client Executive on enterprise engagements with AAA, BCBS, Canon USA, Humana, JLL, McKinsey & Company, National Oil Vargo, Pfizer, Visa, VW Group of America, and Yamaha during those two years.
VP Client Services & Operations
Galaxy Bright CreativeVP Client Services & Operations
Jul. 2005 - Mar. 2007Alpharetta, GAI started at GBC as an Interaction/Visual Designer, working on everything from websites and banner ads to package design and direct mail marketing. Eventually, I got into front-end development to ensure the integrity of our work was maintained throughout production, followed by project management and new business development. I architected, designed, and developed a custom Content Management System (CMS) collaboratively with our entire team as a recurring revenue source; it was also super fun. Eventually, I oversaw operations where I formalized processes and practices for account management, estimating and proposing work, contract development, project execution and management, and feedback collection (like a post-mortem) from each project team and client. While I still encouraged new ideas and afforded one-offs, I became passionate about standardizing things because it answered the recurring “how, what, why” employees asked for. It also saved us time and money and gave us a benchmark for future improvement. This sort of business planning, strategy, and logistics came naturally to me. I enjoyed it and redesigning the employee and client experience, which benefited everyone. These efforts resulted in YoY growth among all KPIs, growing Galaxy Bright Creative’s client base from 8 to 30+, personnel from 4 to 12, and annual revenue by 450% in just over 4 years while setting and maintaining high margins. As for clients, noteworthy mentions included Atlanta Falcons, Colonial Pipeline, Integrated Fire Protection, NorthPoint Ministries, Priority Payments, and Suntrust Bank.
