I am a physicist with a career in research (both academic and industrial) and teaching. I work as Associate Professor at the Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, in Kazakhstan, on a campus coordinated jointly with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. I previously worked as a research mathematician at a software development company, and before that as a professor at Tyumen State University in Tyumen, Russian Federation, where I conducted research on image segmentation using deep learning models applied to microscopic images for various projects in biology and geology. I have also taught mathematics, information technology, Python programming, and machine learning to undergraduate students. In the past, I have worked on several projects related to quantum information processing (quantum cryptography), quantum optics and deep learning, in academic groups in Europe and North America, within departments of Computer Science and Physics.
