Lilian Nagato

Lilian Nagato is an architect and urban planner with experience in public housing policies, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and gender issues. She has over a decade of experience in the field, dealing with issues ranging from architectural design to construction works and relationships with beneficiary communities, without losing focus on sustainability and the impact of her work on building a better world. Lilian graduated from a prestigious university in São Paulo, Brasil, and later took her professional experience back to the same institution, for a Master’s thesis on the subject. She has worked in several architectural offices, with experience in projects for residences and hotels, slum upgrading, and ‘universal design’ - accessibility for people with disabilities. Lilian’s skills include a great ability to listen, solve problems and conflicts, empathy, commitment, analytical and systemic vision, and a lot of technical knowledge. She currently works independently, with energy certification for buildings in Portugal (where she lives), and architectural projects, always seeking to provide more contact with nature, sustainability, quality of life and social inclusion, in addition to the satisfaction of her clients.
