EBSCO Information ServicesSenior Database Editor, Digital Historical Archives, Magazine Archives & Religion Databases
Apr. 2012 - Sep. 2017Ipswich, MAManaged 70+ Historical and Magazine Archive databases. I focused on the product life cycle management, metadata analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and primary source research. I am a scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 4 certified Product Owner / Product Manager. Managed product relationship with the American Theological Library Association and Association of Christian Librarians, grossing over $8 million annually. I was responsible for gathering requirements and client demos, ensuring metadata transitioned into our system correctly, and user acceptance testing. I fostered highly collaborative projects and relationships with several prominent heritage organizations, including the American Antiquarian Society and the New-York Historical Society. I coached training and performance of annual summer interns, as well as junior team members. I collaborated closely with senior management on product strategy and prioritization. I lead a pivot of the product line offering to focus on contemporary magazine archives instead of historical books, periodicals, and archival materials. It gave our customers smaller, less expensive products to buy in the post-2008 economy and sales better understood the product and could pitch it more easily. I became the go-to person for all things of historical archives, and eventually, the company's religion databases as well. I was awarded two ‘Progress Through Ideas’ awards for devising a software tool in collaboration with the dev team that saved both of our teams time and money.
