I was tasked with improving the BT product portfolio penetration into my account base and with maintaining revenue that BT already had. I got to know my customers inside and out and looked to become a strategic partner to add value to their business as opposed to a supplier to just sell products. I was proud to be one of the leading sales people within the south team of circa 30 account managers in the New Business deals table. Additional high points from this role include: - Working with opportunities worth £300k+ only. - Solution selling - Attending networking events; most recently I was selected to attend a SOLACE (Society of Local Authority Chief Executives) event at the House of Commons in order to make new contacts and generate business for both me and my colleagues. - Being assigned as the Account Manager for Suffolk County Council. This is one of the biggest accounts that BT had in Local Government, generating £50m per annum. -Bid management - working with c-level contacts from both my customers and BT to understand commercial risks and needs surrounding each deal. - Quarterly forecasting - with 3% accuracy tolerance. - Working very closely with Cisco and other partners to provide effective delivery of products and services into Suffolk County Council. - Autonomy of being accountable for my own marketing and P&L strategies.
