Achievements in 7 weeks:
• Fundraised over $20K
• 5,000L of hand sanitizers were delivered to Hospitals, First Responders, Shelters, First Nations Communities, Long-Term Care Facilities, Midwives, and other health care workers
• Created a co-op of Breweries and Distilleries in the region to work with each other to produce hand sanitizer leveraging each other knowledge, tools, and supplies
• The Hand Sanitizer co-op produced the majority of the hand sanitizer for Southern Ontario for a period of almost 3 months
• Received donations of PPE from countless people across the Waterloo Region that were stockpiled and delivered according to the need for health care workers across the region
• Sent care packages consisting of sanitizer, cleaning products, first-aid, and PPE to First Responders in Nova Scotia, and First Nations Communities across Northern Ontario
• Use relationships and contacts to help open lines for bringing PPE into the region from overseas manufacturers
• Fund the creation of over 400 gowns and caps for community health care workers
• Created countless articles and media content showcasing others in our community that participated in both our initiatives and there own
• Amassed almost 300 volunteers, and at our peak had almost 25 active volunteers running the Covidhealth.ca operation
