Nonprofit Help CenterFounder & CEO
Apr. 2018United StatesAs the visionary and leader at the Nonprofit Help Center, my role weaves together strategic direction, passion for impact, and unwavering commitment to the growth of nonprofit professionals and organizations. I have had the honor of guiding a responsive and innovative team in creating and delivering comprehensive tools and resources that significantly enhance the professional capabilities of nonprofit employees and board members.
I have taken NHC from start-up phase to an established organization: we multiplied our revenue fivefold in the second year after product launch and have cemented the NHC's position as the gold standard of transformation within the sector.
I've forged strategic partnerships, (like Auburn University, Coalition Manager, and top-tier nonprofit consultants and vendors) to enrich our offerings and extend our outreach. I also selectively engage with nonprofit professionals through coaching and mentorship.
Curriculum design is another passion-in-action area for me. With both the Merit Nonprofit Professional Development systm (which over 250 microlearning courses) and the Nonprofit Board Member Basics course (created in conjunction with Elle Benson of Nonprofit Leadership LLC) my team and I have reshaped the learning cultures at nearly 400 nonprofits nationwide.
I love group facilitation, interactive workshops, and conference speaking, sharing insights that catalyze change. I enjoy curating actionable strategies that improve adult learning engagement and staff retention, through a lens that is sensitive to leadership best practices and elevating all voices.
In all that I do, I stand against boring, talking-head, one-size-fits-all solutions, and seek to take an approach that democratizes nonprofits' people-development opportunities.
In this role, I've dared to reimagine how nonprofits engage with training, ensuring that knowledge and skills are accessible to all, paving the way for a more informed, effective, and compassionate sector.
