Built and led an in-house design team that managed the design, development, and branding of licensed products, not only for *Real Simple* but also for other Time Inc. brands such as *InStyle*, *Cooking Light*, and *Food & Wine*. Our team created differentiated product lines that positively represented Time Inc. in retail settings. Together, we developed collections across a range of categories including dinnerware, barware, table linens, giftware, furniture, housewares, kitchen accessories, home fragrances, stationery, flower arrangements, and gifts. These efforts generated $19 million in revenue, contributing to a strong income stream for *Real Simple* and Time Inc. Also pitched new growth concepts in home office, wallpaper, furniture, cookware, and cleaning products, aiming to expand the licensed product portfolio. Leveraged Time Inc.'s promotional assets across print, digital, and social platforms to support retail sell-in and sell-through efforts, identifying opportunities to amplify these campaigns by collaborating with retail partners. Oversaw and styled photo shoots for all packaging, promotional materials, branding, and style guides. As the Art Director, supervised all digital and print promotional content, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand messaging.

Established new relationships with overseas vendors and introduced innovative approaches to product development, ensuring that all designs were executed to specification, on time, and within budget to optimize margins. Additionally, introduced new business categories such as framed art, photography, functional accessories, storage and organization, hardware, home scent, and personal care. During my tenure, *West Elm* experienced rapid growth across all channels, including the launch of a successful direct-to-consumer business and the opening of several stores nationwide. The brand also saw significant expansion in catalog sales and direct-to-customer channels, quickly evolving into a leading retailer of modern lifestyle products.

In addition, was asked to contribute to creative strategy, marketing collaborations, and worked closely with creative consultants at IDIO to innovate the future direction of the *GAP* brand.

Aug. 1994 - Mar. 1999Developed creative concepts for Donna Karan and DKNY, including overseeing the brand’s internal dye house and creative studio. Collaborated across various departments, contributing to projects from fashion shows to advertising campaigns. I worked at *DKNY* and *DK International* during the height of the brand’s popularity and expansion. As a young artist and illustrator, I began by establishing an internal dye house, color laboratory, and creative studio, where I developed creative concepts and inspirational materials for both the *Donna Karan Collection* and *DKNY*. My role extended beyond fashion, collaborating with a diverse group of creatives across various brand elements, including fashion show sets, advertising campaigns, flagship store design, and fixtures. I hand-dyed color standards, built an archive of materials and swatches, and implemented fabric techniques that influenced the seasonal direction and fabric development for both runway collections and production. Managed and approved all sample and production processes, including lab dips, yarn dye blankets, strike-offs, embroidery samples, fabric effects, knit-downs, and overall fabric development. Additionally, collaborated with guest artists and designers to conceptualize and develop key aspects of the brand. Scouted locations for fashion shows, designed sets for both runway and photo shoots, and contributed to the concept and launch of *Pure DKNY*. Acted as the liaison between licensed businesses and the core design team to ensure brand consistency across all lines. Was responsible for the concept, design, and development of the *DKNY Life* bedding and *DK* collections, collaborating with Ilse Crawford of *StudioILSE*. This included the successful launch of the *DK Collection* and *DKNY Life Home*.
