Oct. 2010 - Aug. 2011Duties include: maintenance, monitoring and repair of 1000+ Window Servers running 67 applications that are used by the SPRINT Nextel Corporation 47,000 operators and agents for technical support of the cell phones and telephone operator services. Identified and engineered IT processes for firmware updates, anti-virus protection, automated installs of the Windows OS, IP address tracking, network device mapping and inventory. Identified issues and suggested remedies surrounding Active Directory, patching, firmware, support for HP Proliant Servers and IBM BladeCenter hardware, automated bare-metal installs and automated software deployments. Wrote a detailed report to present to upper management for future projects. Software used: HP Systems Insight Manager, IBM Systems Director, HP Service Manager, ePO and McAfee Anti-Virus, Reliatel, Dameware. Mentored team members in updating skill-sets and teaching new systems administrator techniques. Created a test environment (hardware/software) and then taught team members how to deploy Windows 2008 R2 across HP and IBM hardware. Current contract will expire March 31, 2011.
