May. 2014 - May. 2015Sydney Area, AustraliaBrought on in a Partnerships/Business Development role with my primary focus on taking a TV Show, "The ExO", to market. Having never worked within the TV or Film industry the learning curve was steep and yet, I triumphed. Via my network, I sourced five key mentors (75 years of combined experience in the TV & Film industry), expanded my knowledge and understanding, and was able to get the TV show in front of some very big players; Netflix, Stan, Screentime, Freemantle, IMG, Universal Music and Spotify. I looked into further revenue streams for self production. We approached the Project Factory to create a shopping function of retail products used throughout episodes, to be accessible at the end of each show. Whilst the technology was there it was still in it's infancy and not yet possible. In the end, whilst everyone loved the developed pitch and concept, the script wasn't quite there. Whilst I was with Soma we also took over tenancy of a large space in Surry Hills and transformed it into a flexible workspace for creatives, that included an event space / photography studio. We held events there for the likes of Bertie Blackman and Skyscraper Stan, plus numerous photography and film shoots.

From there we not only photographed their wedding, but went on to do a few of their friend's weddings also. That wedding resulted into many different verticals of shoots for a variety of clients; wedding, portrait, product, lifestyle, corporate head shots (Ray White head office), Toni&Guy Hairdressing Competitions ... as well as being retained by BBC Worldwide to photograph product for the 50th Anniversary of Dr Who http://www.doctorwho50store.com.au/ - which was such a fabulous experience!
