As part of my role, I worked closely with the Head of Marketing and Brand, where I played a key role in designing a marketing campaign for the launch of the InvestSA One Stop Shop Online Booking System. This involved creating a social media marketing strategy, developing content collateral, and crafting press releases to ensure a successful awareness campaign. Additionally, I had the opportunity to develop a formal marketing strategy focused on promoting Wesgro's Cape Town Air Access Unit and increasing its visibility. This experience in the Economic, Trade, and Investments Industry provided a fresh perspective on my profession, which was previously centered around the Tourism Industry. Despite the shift in focus, my strong knowledge of tourism and the Western Cape proved to be valuable assets during this period.

This role encapsulates digital design, project management, and well as the all-round functioning and administration of the marketing department. During this time, I also worked closely with the Head of Business Development at the time, Karen Vollenhoven to secure new business as well as improve our existing business ventures and relationships.

I had the opportunity to work directly under the Head of Sales and Marketing at the time, Ashlyn Worrall. Ashlyn and I worked closely to ensure the conception of the Marketing Department. I played a large role in developing and implementing the various processes that go into establishing a marketing department. This opportunity taught me the fundamentals of running and optimising a marketing department from the ground up.
