Combated price inflations during the COVID-19 pandemic and achieved $3.2M in accumulated savings by renegotiating existing contractual framework agreements. Reallocated materials to sustainable incumbent suppliers and implemented fixed pricing to reduce purchase price variances and incorporated additional KPI's in-conjunction with flexible terms and conditions. Executed numerous e-sourcing events in Ariba without exceeding budgeted spend from bundling current and future project requirements to maximize supplier leverage and cost savings via economies of scale. Utilized best cost country sourcing options to expand current supply base by on-boarding reputable global manufacturers with distribution locations in close proximity to National Grid warehouses; minimizing lead-times. Provided sourcing solutions due to global market volatility to internal and external stakeholders through forward contracting, leveraging historical inventory consumption and future project demands which increased forecasting accuracy. Analyzed wire & cable inventory levels in SAP to identify material excess, seasonal trends, and develop category strategies throughout the procurement group. In collaboration with multiple engineering teams, lead the initiative to reduce ongoing incumbent suppliers capacity limitations by on boarding seven additional suppliers spread across four buyer categories within procurement; elevating assurance of supply.
