For that, we are working on making Estonia one of the world's best places for startups, partnering with and uniting the best of startups, incubators, accelerators, private and public sector. The Startup Visa helps non-EU founders grow their startup in Estonia, one of the world's best places to start and run a company. It also makes it easy for Estonian startups to hire non-EU talent. I managed to grow the programme from around 300 applications per one year (2017) to more than 2600 employees or founders relocating to Estonia by 2020. As a Project lead for the Startup Visa my activities were: - Creating and implementing the project strategy (KPI-s, talent attraction, promotion, marketing etc.) - Coordinating the Startup Committee deciding who will be eligible to apply for the Startup Visa, which included assessing the companies' applications on a daily basis. - Managing and performing promotional activities (Collaboration with the Startup Estonia Marketing manager for digital marketing, content creation, promotional events management globally, performing at conferences and meetups) - Managing the project budget - Negotiating and implementing strategic partnerships in Startup Visa target countries (Russia, Ukraine, Turkey) - Keeping up and onboarding the foreign founder network in Estonia - Putting together bi-annual statistics about the success and needs of the Estonian Startup sector with the focus on foreign talent - Coordinating the project between the Estonian startup community and the Estonian Government
