Fully delivered project from initial requirements gather to deploying all MFDs with modern functionality. Worked with a both internal and external stakeholders to deploy 4000 devices in a period of 8 months. Lead technical team to fulfil all architecture, testing, infrastructure, business intelligence and security requirements. Key Successes:
• Developed requirements and ITT document for the procurement of a managed print and reprographics services.
• Produced evaluation criteria to evaluate and score 6 suppliers.
• Replaced 8000 aged MFD and print devices with 4000 state of the art models.
• Simplified DWP estate from 20 different device models to 6 models with a uniform user interface.
• Built supporting back end services in In-house datacentres (CHS) thus becoming the first service to successfully disaggregate from DXC (formerly HPES) hosting.
• Deployed 276 devices in 1 week (Highest number Xerox has deployed in Europe.
• Built foundation services to support transformational functionality (pull printing, mobile printing, gamification and user analytics) which generated projected savings of £500,000 a year.
• Tested and assured transformation services across all DWP legacy and new applications and delivered highly available and redundant service.
• Implemented elastic stack to generate insights on 7 years of printing data. This identifies saving opportunities of £2million.
• Simplified architecture through upgrading the ThinPrint compression solution and removing a single point of failure. This moved the service from being resilient at the office level to being resilient at the device level.
• Developed internal audit process for office printing invoices to fulfil National Audit Office requirements.
