Key Successes: Implemented code control and Agile Best Practices into the code control into Engineering teams. Designed and built application monitoring stack using Prometheus and Grafana to allow application to be centrally observable and track key metrics. Lead technical team to fulfil all architecture, testing, infrastructure, business intelligence and security requirements. Key Successes: • Developed requirements and ITT document for the procurement of a managed print and reprographics services. • Produced evaluation criteria to evaluate and score 6 suppliers. • Replaced 8000 aged MFD and print devices with 4000 state of the art models. • Simplified DWP estate from 20 different device models to 6 models with a uniform user interface. • Built supporting back end services in In-house datacentres (CHS) thus becoming the first service to successfully disaggregate from DXC (formerly HPES) hosting. • Deployed 276 devices in 1 week (Highest number Xerox has deployed in Europe. • Built foundation services to support transformational functionality (pull printing, mobile printing, gamification and user analytics) which generated projected savings of £500,000 a year. • Tested and assured transformation services across all DWP legacy and new applications and delivered highly available and redundant service. • Implemented elastic stack to generate insights on 7 years of printing data. This identifies saving opportunities of £2million. • Simplified architecture through upgrading the ThinPrint compression solution and removing a single point of failure. This moved the service from being resilient at the office level to being resilient at the device level. • Developed internal audit process for office printing invoices to fulfil National Audit Office requirements.

In parallel due to negotiation skills and knowledge of Wi-Fi worked with SCC, Microsoft and BT to evaluate the customer device service and deliver an improvement plan as devices has only 50% availability. Key Successes: • Successfully delivered Meraki Wi-Fi to DWP corporate sites thereby allowing state of the art monitoring and achieving the Departments strategic objective for greater flexibility in customer interactions. • Implemented ITIL best practice to the WIFI service which led to the platform effectively scaling from 4 to circa 800 sites in a period of 6 months with no operational downtime. • Carried out analysis of customer device server-side failures to identify opportunities to improve the service. This identified the root cause of the low availability issue. • Project managed the deployment of availability fix. This increased availability from 50% up to 90%. Engaged with Microsoft to deliver another iteration of fixes which increased availability to 95% for all 8000 devices. • Successfully decommissioned legacy customer device service leading to a £1 million saving.
