Oct. 2014 - May. 2015Auckland, New ZealandAs Senior Account Executive at the pr shop, my day to day tasks involved drafting and issuing press releases, regular correspondence with our clients, negotiating space for editorial/competition placement, compiling media mailers, creating budget timelines, drafting PR plans, researching placements and responding proactively to media requests, along with assisting our senior account managers. Along with PR I also managed events for our clients, ranging from in house showings at media houses to larger product launches at external venues. Here I was required to run event prep and set up, source and order required materials, create event invitations (photoshop), compile RSVP lists, follow up guests to ensure attendance, liaise with media, social media management and event set up and pack down. I really enjoy working on events. At the pr shop, I also worked as a Social Media Specialist (The Social Butterfly), managing social media accounts for our clients. This role involved managing and monitoring all social media platforms, creating bespoke imagery and content, planning and scheduling posts, analysing social media data and performance, defining and executing social media strategies, designing, executing and monitoring Facebook advertising, actively responding to consumers, liaising with bloggers and key influencers, conducting consistent tone and voice, measuring and reporting social media activity and complimenting clients current PR and sales drives via their social platforms.
