Nov. 2010 - Apr. 2011Auckland, New ZealandDuring the planning, preparation and execution of Trolley Grand Prix, I had just been awarded the role of Red Bull Office Manager under one condition…. That they would still allow me to complete my University co-op, which had previously been arranged. For Trolley Grand Prix I was the Race co-ordinator, and our sports marketing managers right hand man (girl). This involved organising and selecting competitors pre-event, travelling around to make sure that all of the 86 competing teams were working on their trolleys and ensuring that they were feeling the Red Bull love. I also played a large part in the planning, set up and running of the event on the day. This role was definitely one of my highlights of working at Red Bull. Here, I feel that my communication and time management skills really shone through. Post event, I received so many e-mails and phone calls from competitors thanking me for everything, especially for making them feel like they were really a part of the brand. I loved working on this event, and having thee chance to give average New Zealanders the chance to be an athlete for a day in the seemingly unattainable world of Red Bull.
