A non-profit organization established in 1979 by the CEO’s of the region’s largest employers (Civic Council of Greater Kansas City) as a vehicle to address the rising costs of healthcare and improve the health and well-being of current and future employees and their families in the Greater Kansas City Area. The Coalition is our nation’s premier collaborative model bringing together major employers and all healthcare delivery stakeholders (physicians and medical societies, health plans, hospitals, unions, pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, public health, broker-consultants and bi-state governmental units). Their community-wide membership base along with their unique collaborative model, enable the Coalition to draw upon the widest possible range of expertise from the region, and the nation, to carry out their projects. The Coalition currently has 80+ members and contributors representing more than 600,000 lives in the greater metropolitan area. Troy also serves on the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (formerly NBCH) Board of Governors representing 13,000+ employers and over 41 million covered lives across the country. Prior to joining the Coalition, Troy enjoyed a successful 20+ year career as a pharmaceutical sales and marketing executive, serving in leadership positions with Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Parke-Davis and Warner Lambert. Troy received his master of science in management from Baker University School of Professional & Graduate Studies and his bachelor of arts in psychology from Mid-America Nazarene University.
