It was sold to Textron in 2013. I joined the business when it was still in start-up mode and worked in a range of challenging roles across design engineering, operations and production management. Consultant, Engineering and Manufacturing Services (Jun 2010 -Oct 2011) In this role I led all major assignments outside of the Flight Simulation business. This included managing contract tenders. A highlight was winning a major contract for a nuclear power plant simulator in South Africa. Director of Operations (Mar 2008-Jun 2010) As Director of operations my accountabilities included Manufacturing Operations, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement Processes, Supplier Management and Frontline Client Support. I was also heavily involved in leading business development for projects outside of the core simulator business, including heavy industrial, marine and nuclear engineering projects. Highlights include: • The introduction of internal processes that increased manufacturing capability; including Agile Software Development, Iterative Development and Rapid Prototyping. • Implementing and achieving ISO 9001:2008 • Securing a number of major business contracts. Manager, Electrical Engineering (Sep 2003-Mar 2008) In this role I managed a team of engineers and technicians including the electronic lab, after-sales support and functional testing.
