Extensive data transfer activities that required effective time management in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines. Development and delivery of regular reports to the management team, focussing on database monitoring, bug checking and installing updates. Regular monitoring of the database search engine, flagging required corrections and web accessibility. Oversaw cross browser checking of the database to test content display.

King's College LondonIntern, XML encoder/scripter

May. 2008 - Sep. 2008I was involved with four major projects at DDH. My main duties focussed on proofreading and editing content to ensure accuracy prior to posting via web editor. This work also involved the use of alt-tags, image processing and periodic sweeps of the site and its information, in line with the quality assurance process. In addition I developed and built XSLT and METS files for the various websites. I also worked with the retrieval of metadata for images and processing stages. My work experience there influenced my dissertation on the role of metadata within large design projects. I also developed and designed websites using HTML/XHTML/XML languages.
