Work Background
Head of Recruitment
Australian Red CrossHead of Recruitment
Dec. 2021 - Mar. 2024Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaFor me, joining Red Cross was an opportunity to become part of a different industry/sector and be part of strengthening a vital humanitarian movement and it certainly hasn't been a disappointment. It was thrilling to join at a time when the Board and Executive had already done so much work to create a new purpose and vision statement, organisational values and behaviours, and the beginnings of an organisational strategy focused on making Red Cross fit-for-purpose in today's world. Our transformation journey is a long one, but it will enable us to deliver better and more financially sustainable outcomes for the people we support well into the future. During my time at Rec Cross, I learnt a lot about the organisation and it's complexities. If you're interested in being part of the future of Red Cross, go to their careers page at https://bit.ly/RedCrossCareers and, even more importantly, volunteer your time at https://bit.ly/AustraliaRedCrossVolunteerOps

Recruitment Business Partner
AscianoRecruitment Business Partner
Dec. 2015 - Dec. 2016St Kilda Road, MelbourneAsciano was an ASX Top 50 company until August 19 2017 when it split into three distinct businesses under different ownership structures. These three businesses, Pacific National, Patrick and Bulk and Automotive Ports Services (BAPS), now continue their operations independently of one another. I project managed 2 significant national recruitment campaigns; one for the Patrick business recruiting 55 staff within 3 months; and the other recruiting 59 staff for Pacific National's brand new centralised 24/7 operations facility in North Sydney. Both campaigns relied heavily on using a variety of sourcing methods including job boards, social media platforms (including landing pages) and the company website. A key focus was diversity and I achieved an average of 24% new female hires in these predominately male-dominated industries. Candidate response rates were high for both of these projects (i.e. 2000+ candidates each) I made extensive use of time saving technology such as online video interviews (850+), half-day assessment centres (20+) and online reference and background checking platforms. Working closely and coaching a variety of hiring managers; engaging with a variety of candidates and educating them about our EVP; were wonderful aspects of these very important and highly successful campaigns. ✮ Talent Sourcing ✮ Attraction & Assessment ✮ Candidate Management ✮ Business Partnership
