FreelanceFreelance Software Engineer
Sep. 1997I have started working with HTML in 1997, and with PHP in 2001. My early freelance projects were mostly for local customers, and I was learning PHP while working on these projects. Until 2005, all of my presentational web projects had their own content management systems, after that I started implementing stock CMS solutions. My web apps, on the other hand, are tailored to the customer’s needs, but always built with standardized libraries. My first contact with programming was in 1987, on my first computer, Commodore 64. After mastering Basic and Simon’s Basic, I moved to writing machine code routines directly. Later on, I have switched to PC, where I worked with QBasic, Pascal and C, with Delphi coming a bit later. I started working with front-end web technologies in 1997, and back-end in 2001. Web development aside, I have also created numerous desktop, mobile and console applications. In the past few years I have completed several machine learning projects, as a hobby and for clients. I’ve also published one Android app written in Java, two iOS apps written in Swift and several mobile apps written in React Native. For a couple of years, I used Python for data processing and visualization. I’ve got a number of projects running on IoT devices, namely Raspberry PI (one of them being a standalone video player with face detection) and Arduino/ESP8266 (indoor location system).
