Hi, I'm Joana!
I’m passionate about content – mostly words, meanings, and tones. And for 20 years now, I’ve gathered experience from all sorts of communication areas.
I’ve been a journalist, translator, marketing and communications executive, plain language consultant, press officer, web content manager, content coordinator, lead content specialist, and content quality specialist – nowadays, I believe I am all of that in the right amounts.
For the past 8 years, I’ve been a freelance plain language content writer, proofreader, copy editor and reviewer, and English translator, using my language eagle eye to do what I do best.
In the meantime, I’ve also been exploring two different personal business projects:
1. Managing vacation rentals in Caparica;
2. And co-owning and managing a food project – Ninja Buns –, a Pan-Asian
restaurant (which we now closed) with a fair share of fans in Lisbon.
