For nearly 25 years in the Middle East, I have led teams and driven results in B2B industrial technology. As head of HIMA’s business across the Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, CIS, and India, I managed P&L for 115 employees in five entities. We grew orders by over 50% from a record high year, reorganized the business, moved the Regional HQ, and opened two new entities in four years.
I feel that the best way to be responsible to our business is to be compassionate towards our people and ruthless with our business objectives. I build high-performing teams through shared values, clarity of direction, and honest communication.
With 25 years in Process Industries sales, including 18 years with Emerson, largely but not exclusively selling into Upstream and Downstream Oil & Gas, I have also led regional marketing and launched products in new markets. Earlier, as a management consultant, I was published in Gulf Business for work on strategic implementation and org design.
I enjoy solving complex problems, thrive in face-to-face meetings, and believe the best discussions leave everyone smarter – including me. I am forever curious and uncompromisingly ethical. I am energized by challenge, meeting clients, and travel.
I have lived in the Middle East since 2001 and, outside work, I am married with two sons and enjoy cycling and running. When I can find time, I am most relaxed driving and camping in the desert.More...
