Verified
Throughout my Information Technology career totaling 26+ years I’ve learned many different key skills that make an organization run smoothly in a fast-paced environment. From throughout my military service through my current position as a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer IV / Subject Matter Expert (SME) IV, I have learned and applied many skills, such as: strong problem solving, communication, time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Being not just a supervisor but a leader, both in the military and on short term and long-term projects/contracts, have helped me develop my strong interpersonal skills and taught me how to be a team player who is both flexible and adaptable in any situation. I have worked for and served my country in the United States Air Force, I have worked for ISPs, newspapers, radio stations, a telephone company, a major help desk, multiple Federal Departments of the United States Government not to mention that I ran my own business, successfully, for 6+ years. Not only have I worked for many companies, but I have held many positions of great importance. Those positions have consisted of Information Assurance (IA) Technician, Senior Computer Systems Analyst III and Senior Software Integrator, Senior Windows/System/Network/VMWare Administrator, Senior Desktop Support Technician, Help Desk Supervisor, Help Desk Technician, Field Service Technician, Database Manager, and a Business Owner among others.
This experience taught me how to handle different kinds of conflict with the end result being a positive and successful solution. I have conducted research to determine outcomes like Mean Time Between Failure resulting from system issues, errors and/or failures. I worked full time while going to college to earn and graduate, with Honors, obtaining both an Associates Degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Network Security and Forensics from Fountainhead College of Technology.More...
