I’m a daughter of an entrepreneur when this term didn’t even existed. Innovation and entrepreneurship are in my blood.
My background on Industrial Engineering gives me the passion for process optimization and continuous
improvement, alongside with my inner hunger for innovation. I developed my Master’s thesis and
published a scientific paper based on the case study of Pingo Doce’s industrial kitchen processes’
optimization with Lean Six Sigma, while considering ergonomics, work safety and food quality control. I was
then invited to be a speaker on a Workshop for ACT (Government Institution to promote good work
conditions) to present the results of my work and the solutions implemented.
My experience at JMD (the larger FMCG distributer of international brands in Portugal) validated my personal
interest on the strategic development, marketing and management of brands and products.
At Pingo Doce I got my analytical skills, portfolio management and development skills, operational
capabilities, hands-on work experience, hunger for finding solutions, developing strategies and
seeing them through, priorities management, assertiveness, and the capability of dealing with everyday
problems under pressure on a fast-paced environment, working with several departments and teams
simultaneously, with enough flexibility and ability to influence so to always find the best possible solution.
