Until last September, Vanessa worked as the Managing Director for EEI, or Wokivia Edutainment Centers, where she actively led and participated in strategic, operative, administrative, and financial development. Being a small organization, EEI draws its strength from hands-on managers, who are happily willing to roll up their sleeves and take on every challenge as an opportunity for growth.
As a Business Manager, she deeply enjoys strategic creation and driving change, especially when creative solutions are involved. At Nestlé, she changed how environmental and consumer analysis was measured in the dairy business, impacting global strategy and innovation pipelines. When working at Clorox, she entered a new channel that had been eluding the company's efforts, her solution rapidly reaching 10% of total sales for the cleaning business.
At Tec de Monterrey Business School, she teaches strategy, business, and marketing; and finds purpose in leading her students to develop their own skills and social conscience, knowing they are becoming agents of change. Vanessa has been awarded “Outstanding Coach” in the "Mejores Empresas Mexicanas" program, alongside Deloitte and Citibanamex consultants, enabling private organizations to achieve the renowned distinction.
Her passion is sharing ideas, discussing potential outcomes, and creating solutions that enable herself and others to achieve synergistic results. She firmly believes that everyone is different, equally valuable, and equally capable; communication and respect are key to unlocking one's and each other’s potential.
Vanessa and her husband of 20+ years are proud parents of two teenagers, and devoted advocates for the Montessori system, in which peace, self-discipline and respect are pillars for human development.More...
