Andressa Furletti is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist based in New York. She is the co-founder and artistic director of Group Dot BR, NY's only Brazilian theater company. She has a diverse background with degrees in Biology, Filmmaking, and acting from the Stella Adler Studio NY. She has also participated in the Watermill Center's summer program coordinated by Robert Wilson on two occasions. Her work includes stage and film acting, performance art, installation, and other artistic expressions. She uses various media to portray subtleties that our eyes cannot always see, such as patterns and the micro and macro universes that surround us. Through her art, she reflects on important issues related to society, politics, and the environment and aims to engage the audience and inspire them to think about these issues in new ways. Her propositional works are designed to be experienced through the senses, inviting the spectator to fully immerse themselves and consider its implications for their consciousness and understanding of the world. Andressa creates unique and thought-provoking works that challenge the viewer to think beyond the boundaries of traditional art. Andressa received several awards including Best Multimedia Show at the United Solo Festival in New York for her debut solo theater show free•dom - a solo of many people, the Outstanding Community Service Award from the Brazilian Community Heritage Foundation, 5 awards in international film festivals for Separation Sonnet, nine nominations for her performances and artistic creations, the Best Actress Award (2017) from the Brazilian International Press Awards and second place in the American Art Award for the photograph of Yes, All Women. Since launching her NFT collections, her works have been in over 20 physical and virtual exhibitions.
