Mar. 2015 - Sep. 2017South Goa, Goa, IndiaWorking with Royal Orchid Beach Resort & Spa, Goa (73 keys with 3-banquet halls, 3 lawns with a catering capacity ranging 500 to 2500 pax , a Multi-cuisine restaurant, 24 hrs Room –service, Shop, 2 Bars, Gym, Activity room, Kid’s room). • Responsible for Front Office (Reception, reservations, guest relations, concierge), House-Keeping, Sales, Security & IT.
• Manage staffing requirements, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members
• Monitor and control budgeted labor costs and expenses with a focus on driving occupancy and ADR with a common sense approach, strong rate strategy, up-selling initiatives, and inventory management.
• Forecast trends in occupancy, budget for room sales, average rate and other revenue.
• Ensure through regular monitoring of GSTS and constant guest feedback, prompt, efficient and accurate service to all guests.
• Monitor the business of competition hotels in terms of new accounts and rates.
• Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, Tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, group, etc.)
• Developing a MICE portfolio for the hotel for business forecasting, pricing and offering creative value additions for all MICE businesses.
• Work with unit GM in preparing annual business plan, market penetration strategies and package proposals.
• Identify new revenue opportunities.
• Regularly Inspect guest rooms, public areas, recreational area for cleanliness, appearance and also to make sure these areas are kept as per the hotels standard.
• Ensure all Maintenance work in Bedrooms, Laundry and Public Areas are rectified prior to releasing rooms back to front desk.
• Ensure that company standards for guest services, décor, and housekeeping services are met or exceeded.
• Developing and utilizing check lists for regular preventative maintenance, cleaning and upkeep.
• Interview, hire, train, and at times take disciplinary actions on staff members
